Yeo scored 59 goals in the Football League during his career
Macclesfield Town striker Simon Yeo has announced his retirement from professional football.
The 36-year-old joined the Silkmen last summer after being released by Chester, scoring seven times in 37 appearances.
Yeo also had notable stints at Lincoln City and Peterborough United during his 12-year professional career.
He told the club website: "Some of the lads and the gaffer have tried to persuade me to stay on but there comes a time when you have to call it a day."
