Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander has admitted talks about a new contract have already started with the board.
The former Lincoln boss has steered the Silkmen seven points and five places clear of relegation after moving to Moss Rose at the end of February.
When he arrived the club were just one point above the League Two drop zone with 11 games left.
"We are talking about signing up for next season," the 51-year-old told BBC Radio Manchester.
"Having said that, we're not safe yet. I'm hoping the fans will get down to the Moss on Saturday, get behind the team and who knows if we get three points we might be safe with a couple of games to go.
"It's a big game against Mansfield who are of course second bottom and we want to be prepared for it."
