Macclesfield striker John Murphy has rejected a new contract and will leave the club at the end of the month. Murphy joined the Silkmen on loan in October 2006 from Blackpool and made the move to Moss Rose in January 2007.
He started 28 games for Macclesfield and four substitute appearances and scored nine goals including one in the FA Cup match against Chelsea.
Murphy, 30, began his career at Chester City where he made 106 games, scoring 21 goals before joining Blackpool.
