Gritton has vast experience playing for six different clubs |
Macclesfield have signed striker Martin Gritton, who was recently released by League Two rivals Lincoln. Gritton, who will be 29 on Friday, has signed a two-year contract.
"Successful teams usually have one or two players who bang in 15-20 goals in a season," Macclesfield boss Paul Ince told his club's website.
"I am hoping Martin can fill that role - and he clearly wants to prove a point, having spent a lot of last year on the bench."
Gritton has scored 45 league goals in 236 appearances for Plymouth, Yeovil, Torquay, Grimsby, Lincoln and Mansfield.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Mansfield, but returned to Lincoln in time to feature in the play-offs.
