New Macclesfield manager Ian Brightwell has made former Port Vale striker Michael Husbands his first signing since taking over from Paul Ince. Husbands has agreed a 12-month deal at the Moss Rose after being released by Vale at the end of last season.
The 23-year-old spent almost two years with Vale where he was used largely as a substitute.
"I am desperate for first-team football and the chance to show I have what it takes to succeed," said Husbands.
