Luton Town have signed young Barnsley midfielder Simon Heslop on a 28-day emergency loan.
The 22-year-old, who came through the ranks at Oakwell, has made just one senior appearance for the Reds.
But Heslop is no stranger to going out on loan, having enjoyed spells at Kidderminster, Tamworth, Northwich, Halifax, Grimsby and Kettering.
He comes in as replacement for skipper Kevin Nicholls, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Nicholls, 31, has undergone a knee operation which is expected to sideline him for eight months.
