Luton Town have confirmed the signing of striker Mark Stein on a free transfer from Bournemouth.

Stein was a team-mate of the new Hatters manager Ricky Hill at Kenilworth Road back in the 1980s.

He returns to Luton after spells at a number of clubs including Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers.

A number of clubs were interested in signing Stein, but in the end he opted for a return to Kenilworth Road.

Hill told BBC Three Counties Radio he is delighted to have signed Stein.

The Hatters chief also hopes to make further signing announcements in the near future.
