Italian goalkeeper Giordano Vanin has left Livingston - less than a week after signing a three-year contract with the First Division club.
Livi say they have reluctantly agreed to the 22-year-old's request, which had been made for "personal reasons".
Chairman Angelo Massone told his club website: "It's a disappointment for us, especially with an important game with Stranraer just a week away.
"We are looking at a number of alternative options."
Livingston manager Roberto Landi fielded two goalkeepers in Saturday's 2-0 friendly defeat by Celtic's reserves.
An unnamed Frenchman started the match and was replaced by a trialist from Brazil in the second half.
