Emmanuel Dorado is not satisfied with Livingston's response |
Livingston face being banned from signing new players from 21 May after a dispute over payments to their former French defender, Emmanuel Dorado. The Scottish Football League's management committee placed a transfer embargo and fined the club 5,000 on 19 April, but the club lodged an appeal.
It means Livi can sign players until that challenge is heard by a special meeting of all 30 clubs this month.
Dorado was dismissed last summer after refusing a pay cut after relegation.
The Scottish FA and the SFL decided that the club had broken the player's contract.
They indicated that the club owed Dorado, who is now 34, for the remainder of his contract.
But the Scottish players union complained to the SFL, saying that the matter had not been resolved to the player's satisfaction.
And it decided that the signing ban should last until Dorado received the payments due to him.
