"Normally when you're not playing well things go against you but we've gone top of the Premier League and have qualified from our Champions League group, so that's a positive.
"At the moment we aren't playing particularly well but we're still hanging in there, we're not getting beaten."
Carragher added that his side's next two league games, away to Blackburn and at home to Hull City, have not taken on any extra significance as a result of the points dropped against Fulham and West Ham.
"I've been here 10 years now and all anyone ever says is 'Oh the next few games you can win' - it's the biggest load of nonsense I've ever heard," he added.
"You just win the next game, people who look that far ahead are just stupid."
