Kuyt has only scored one goal for the Reds so far this season.
Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt admits he had chances to secure victory over Stoke on Saturday - and hopes to rectify matters in this weekend's Merseyside derby.
"I think we dominated the game," Kuyt told BBC Radio Merseyside. "We had enough chances - I had a few myself.
"We lost two points. That's really disappointing but we just have to look to the next game now.
"We've got a Carling Cup match against Crewe and then Everton away, which is a good opportunity to get three points."
And the former Feyenoord man says the 0-0 draw with Stoke was frustrating but understandable, given the Potters kept so many players behind the ball for the majority of the match.
"It's difficult, but we know that many teams come like this to Anfield," said Kuyt. "We just have to be patient and score any chances we get.
