Liverpool have signed teenage Dutch forward Vincent Lucas Weijl from AZ Alkmaar on a three-year contract.

The 17-year-old is a product of the Eredivisie club's academy and is expected to play a significant role in Gary Ablett's reserve squad.

Weijl is manager Rafael Benitez's third signing of the summer.

He follows Swiss international full-back Philipp Degen and �6m Italian defender Andrea Dossena, who were unveiled by the club on Thursday.
