Alex Miller is to become a manager again after it was revealed that he would be leaving his post as first-team coach with Liverpool.
The 58-year-old former Hibs, Aberdeen, St Mirren and Mortno boss will take charge of JEF United Chiba in Japan.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez said: "We have some names to consider and will make an appointment soon."
Miller was brought to Anfield by Gerard Houllier in 1999 but remained at the club to work closely with Benitez.
The Scot has had a previous stint coaching in Asia.
He had a long playing career as a full-back with Rangers before becoming player-coach with South China AA in Hong Kong.
Miller returned to Scotland for a brief spell in charge of Morton and then became St Mirren manager, where his three-year stint saw the Buddies qualify for European football.
The Scot's Hibs side won the League Cup and at the end of 10 years at Easter Road, he became assistant at Coventry City but returned to being number one for a short spell at Aberdeen that ended in 1998.
