Villa helped Zaragoza win the Copa del Rey |
Real Zaragoza striker David Villa has denied Liverpool have made any contact with him - even though the club has had him watched. A representative of the Anfield club saw the 22-year-old score twice as Zaragoza beat Sevilla at the weekend.
But Villa said: "I've a contract until 2008 and until anyone says something to the contrary I will be at Zaragoza.
"So far, nobody has said anything and I am very calm because I am used to this kind of situation."
Liverpool will be without French forward Djibril Cisse for several months after he suffered a broken leg in the 2-2 draw at Blackburn on Saturday.
Reds boss Rafael Benitez has been linked with a move for Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes as well as the in-form Villa.
The youngster broke into the first team last season and scored the winning goal in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid.
