Lincoln prepared to wait in transfer market - Prescott
Chief executive Steve Prescott says the lack of transfer activity at Lincoln City is no cause for concern.
While some of next season's rivals in the Blue Square Bet Premier have made signings, the Imps are yet to bring in any new players in the close season.
But Prescott told BBC Lincolnshire: "It doesn't mean there's nothing going on.
"We're constantly in talks with players and agents. If players are confident in their ability they will wait for more offers and see what their options are."
The Imps offered new contracts to only three members of the squad which was relegated from League Two, and made all six players contracted for next season available for transfer.
And Prescott stressed that manager Steve Tilson was prepared to play a waiting game.
"We made one or two early signings last summer," he said. "And look where it got us.
"There are going to be a lot of players in the market come July, looking for clubs, and it will be a buyers market.
"Although Steve is talking to many agents he's not going to jump in. The main thing is not to make a quick decision but the right decision in signing players."
