O'Connor considers return to Imps

Midfielder Michael O'Connor has admitted that he would like to play for Lincoln City again next season after his loan from Crewe came to an end.

O'Connor played 10 games for the Imps, the last being at Bradford on Monday.

He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I'm glad I came here because I've loved every minute of it. The fans, the squad and the staff have been unbelievable.

"I'm a Crewe player for another year but we'll see what the summer brings. I might be back, you never know."

O'Connor was allowed to go out on loan after a rift with Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson over a string of disciplinary incidents, prompting the Northern Ireland international to say he would not play for them again while Thordarson was in charge.

He admitted: "I'll go back and sit down with Crewe and see what happens, it's down to them.

"You never say never. I've enjoyed my time here and maybe if things happen in the summer I might come here on loan again next year."
