Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson is playing down the chances of the club signing striker Michael Boulding.
The out-of-contract 32-year-old scored 25 goals as Mansfield were relegated from League Two last season.
Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "He scored 20-odd goals in a side that got relegated - he feels he can play in a higher division.
"He is waiting for something else to come in. We put our case forward but it is a case of wait and see on that."
