Lincoln City have released four players, including their longest serving player Alan Marriott.
Goalkeeper Marriott, 29, made almost 400 appearances in nine seasons at Sincil Bank.
The Imps have also released defenders Adie Moses and Gary Croft, along with striker Mark Stallard.
Jamie Forrester, Ayden Duffy and Shane Clarke have all been offered new deals, and the club have taken up an option to extend Scott Kerr's contract by a year.
Midfielder Jamie Hand has also left the club by mutual consent.
Hand, 24, had a year left on his contract but spent the latter stages of last season on loan at Oxford United, and is now expected to complete a permanent move to the Blue Square Premier side.
"You're always looking to take the club forward," admitted Lincoln's assistant manager Iffy Onuora, "Its certainly nothing about the players individually, but we all do move on in football.
"You've got to, or you stand still and then people pass you by."
