Lincoln turn down two Posh bids
Lee Frecklington
Posh first revealed their interest in Frecklington in October
Peterborough have failed with two bids to sign midfielder Lee Frecklington from League Two rivals Lincoln City.

Posh first revealed their interest in Frecklington in October - leading Imps chairman Steff Wright to say he would report Posh to the Football League.

However, the Imps have now turned down two offers from Peterborough for the 22-year-old's services.

Meanwhile, Imps striker Ollie Ryan, 22, has signed a new contract keeping him at Sincil Bank until the summer.

Frecklington is under contract with Lincoln until the summer of 2009, and City intend to open talks with him over a new deal.

However, they have admitted that they would be prepared to talk to other clubs "if the right financial deal came along".
