Taylor is well thought of at Sincil Bank |
Lincoln chairman Rob Bradley has denied the club are going to ask former England manager Graham Taylor to take temporary charge as manager. Taylor was muted as a replacement for manager Keith Alexander, who is recovering after emergency brain surgery just over a month ago.
"There is no truth in the story at all," Bradley told BBC Sport.
"It is unfair on the club and we are totally confident in Keith's assistant Gary Simpson taking the reins."
He added: "An all for one and one for all mentality has brought us success and there has been no talk about bringing anyone else in."
Taylor, who resigned as Aston Villa boss in February, guided the Imps to the Division Four title in 1975/76.
But, instead of trying to lure Taylor, Bradley expects Alexander to return whenever he is ready.
"I have been told there have been some very good signs since Keith left hospital and everyone at the club is working towards his return."
