Lincoln City manager Keith Alexander is out of intensive care. Keith Alexander has been in hospital in Sheffield since collapsing with a brain haemorrhage a fortnight ago.
Doctors at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital say Alexander is now fully conscious and is beginning rehabilitation work on the ward.
Keith's son Matt has told BBC Radio Lincolnshire his father is making good progress.
Meanwhile, Lincoln City have allowed defender Matt Carbon to return to Walsall, but have not ruled out a future loan spell for the central defender.
A shoulder injury restricted Carbon to just 45 minutes of first-team action during his month's stay back at Sincil Bank, where he started his career.
The 28-year-old faces another couple of weeks on the sidelines at Walsall, who re-signed the player last month after he announced his retirement in the summer.
"If he'd been fit in a week's time then it would have been better to extend his loan," said City's assistant-manager Gary Simpson.
"We're hoping that we will be able to bring him back for a second spell once he returns to full fitness, probably after he's played a few reserve games for Walsall," Simpson told Lincoln's website.
