Gray and Yeovil were losing finalists in the League One play-offs |
Leyton Orient have signed striker Wayne Gray from League One rivals Yeovil Town for an undisclosed five-figure fee. Gray, 26, was Yeovil's top scorer as they reached the play-offs last season, having helped Southend to back-to-back promotions in 2005 and 2006.
He previously had a three-month loan spell at Orient in the 2001/02 season.
"He's a player I have been trying to bring to this club all summer and will add pace and power to our front line," boss Martin Ling told Orient's website.
"He's experienced this club before whilst on loan and he was looking to come back to London, so this move is ideal both for him and for us."
Glovers manager Russell Slade added: "Wayne had a reasonably good season last year.
"But he was desperate to get back to London - and when somebody is not committed to your club, it's perhaps better to let them go."
