Five players have rejected new deals at Leyton Orient, leaving boss Martin Ling facing a summer of rebuilding. Keeper Glynn Garner has already signed for Shrewsbury - while Adam Tann, Craig Easton, Luke Guttridge and Gary Alexander have also decided to leave.
"Their wages went up after we won promotion, and they were offered another increase on top of that," Ling told his club's website.
"So it is disappointing they have all decided their futures lie elsewhere."
With six players - John Mackie, Shane Tudor, Justin Miller, Donny Barnard, Derek Duncan and Phil Mulryne - already having been released on 1 May, it means Ling has lost 11 players from last season's squad.
But he added: "Although all five players had a positive impact in helping us win promotion, we struggled for large periods of last year and finished 20th.
"Although the shopping list has expanded to needing 10 players, it is going to be a busy summer but I know that in the new season, we will have a team that will do us proud in League One."
