Leicester City academy director John Rudkin says his young players will have gained a great deal from their run to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.

The Foxes were knocked out by Sheffield United at the Walkers Stadium on Wednesday, with Jeff Schlupp scoring an injury-time consolation in a 2-1 loss.

Rudkin told BBC Radio Leicester: "The most important thing is that the players learn from this and progress.

"It is has been a great experience over the last few rounds."
