Ritchie Wellens not fazed by Leicester loss in Cardiff
Wellens has made 38 appearances for the Foxes this season
Leicester City's Richie Wellens says he is not fazed by a slight dip in form during the side's last few games.
The midfielder said the Foxes were fortunate to beat Bristol City in their last home match and they lost 2-0 to promotion rivals Cardiff on Tuesday.
But Wellens told BBC Radio Leicester: "In terms of our performance [against Cardiff] it was probably better than our last few games and we have lost.
"We didn't do much wrong. Their keeper probably had more saves to make."
The former Doncaster player admitted the Foxes rode their luck in the win over Bristol City but said grinding out results when the side was not playing at its best was crucial.
If we play poorly and take three points, you take it and move on to the next game

"If you play 46 league games and are playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday then performances aren't going to be great every week," Wellens added.
"So if we play poorly and take three points, you take it and move on to the next game.
"If you do it for five or six games you worry about the performance but over a long, hard season you take those lucky wins."
And although Wellens felt defeat in Wales was a major blow in the side's attempts to get into the automatic promotion race, Sven-Goran Eriksson's team are still only three points off the play-off places.
"Second will be difficult now because there are three teams in Swansea, Cardiff and Nottingham Forest [who are well placed] and you don't expect all three to have a blip," Wellens said.
"But we will keep going. In this league the bottom teams can beat the top and everyone knows that.
"It's a long, tiring season we need to pick ourselves up against Coventry on Saturday."
