Fryatt joined Leicester from Walsall in January 2006
Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has said he has total faith in Matt Fryatt and no one should question the striker.
Fryatt has bagged 20 league goals to help the Foxes move 11 points clear at the top of League One but missed a penalty in Saturday's draw with Oldham.
Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester: "I have every belief in him and he should have in himself.
"Matty's been fantastic this year and there's no reason for me, fans or more importantly him to doubt his ability."
Fryatt, who has 25 goals in all competitions, failed to beat stand-in keeper Dean Windass from the spot when Latics number one Greg Fleming was sent off for a foul on Fryatt.
But Pearson feels it would be ridiculous to point the finger at the former Walsall forward.
"We are all human, we all make mistakes at some point," said Pearson.
"Some people might want to lay all the blame at Matty's door but that's not the case - we still had plenty of time after that. We didn't really test them enough.
"I'll be delighted when we get our next penalty and Matty steps up and hits the back of the net - that's how I feel about it."
Midfielder Matt Oakley said it was a frustrating afternoon: "It was two points dropped and we're very disappointed.
"It was a good chance to take three points but Matty missed the penalty and we struggled after that.
"Our standards are so high that it feels like a defeat. We expect to win every week and it's a great feeling to have, but we'll move on," he added.
