Milan Mandaric is looking for his seventh manager in 16 months

Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric says he wants to name Ian Holloway's successor as Foxes manager by the middle of June at the latest.

Mandaric is keen to give the new man as much time as possible to prepare for the new season.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "My goal is to appoint a manager not later than 15 June."

Ex-Derby boss Billy Davies has emerged as the favourite, while former Wycombe boss Paul Lambert is also in the frame.

Mandaric said: "We are generating interest of the people which is very encouraging."

The search for a new boss is under way after Holloway left the club by mutual consent on Friday.
