New Leicester City defender Jamie Clapham says he is excited by the prospect of joining a club on the up.

Clapham, 32, who has joined from Wolves on a deal until the end of the season, told BBC Radio Leicester: "It's a good opportunity and a good challenge.

"Leicester are a team of change at the moment so it's developing all the time.

"With the new manager and new players the results are starting to turn around as well. I'm just looking to enjoy it and be a part of something."

Left-back Clapham, who links up once more with former Birmingham City team-mates Stephen Clemence and DJ Campbell, added: "I give the manager a few extra options which he might not have had before."
