Andrew Taylor has stood down as chairman of Leicester City. Taylor, who has been a Foxes fan for more than 30 years, took over the role last April from Jim McCahill, who will stand in until a successor is found.
Leicester insist Taylor's resignation will not affect Milan Mandaric's proposed takeover of the club.
"The ongoing discussions with Milan Mandaric regarding his investment remain unaffected by the changes at board level," a statement said.
"The board remains entirely committed to reaching a satisfactory conclusion with Mr Mandaric.

"The board of directors wishes to place on record their appreciation of Andrew's passion, commitment and considerable efforts during his tenure as chairman."
Mandaric made an official bid for Leicester on 1 November but his takeover plans have been put on hold, after he returned to Serbia, where his mother is in hospital.
