Gudjonsson struggled to establish himself at Wolves and Villa |
Leicester have signed Icelandic international midfielder Joey Gudjonsson on a two-year contract. The 24-year-old, who has had loan spells at Aston Villa and Wolves, has been released by Real Betis of Spain.
He is set to make his debut in this weekend's tournament featuring Real Mallorca, Maritimo and East Bengal.
Foxes boss Micky Adams has also signed former Ipswich and Sunderland full-back Chris Makin on a one-year contract after impressing during a trial.
"Joey is a strong midfield player who we hope will win the ball and play it simple in the middle of the park," Adams said of Gudjonsson.
