 | | Wednesday, 10 April, 2002, 10:46 GMT 11:46 UK Foxes rename stadium  Adams (left) and Bassett move to The Walkers Stadium Leicester City have decided to call their new ground The Walkers Stadium after their original choice of name received widespread criticism. The Foxes had announced that, under a new 10-year deal with Walker Snacks Ltd, the �35m stadium would be called The Walkers Bowl. However, that name was not popular with fans and officials have bowed to their pressure.
Walkers chief executive Martin Glenn said: "We pride ourselves as a business on listening to what our customers like and want and that is no different to the naming of the Leicester City stadium. "We have listened and learned and acted. "We have had long discussions with the club itself and we have both agreed that we will drop bowl from the name of the stadium and it will now be known as The Walkers Stadium."
