Leeds United striker Tresor Kandol is backing new manager Gary McAllister to be a success at the League One club.

McAllister is still looking for his first win since taking charge at Elland Road at the end of January.

Kandol told BBC Radio Leeds: "You have to work on it slowly and day by day you get to learn a lot from what the manager is asking from you.

"I think fans can see that since Gary has been here that things are changing slowly," he added.

Kandol ended an 18-match wait for a goal last Saturday when he scored the equaliser in the one-all draw with Crewe at Elland Road.

Seven games without a win have seen Leeds drop from 3rd to 9th in the League One table, but Kandol is confident McAllister will get it right.

"A win is what we want and we're just waiting to get that - it'll be soon," he added.
