Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford has signed a new three-year contract which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2009/10 season. Beckford, 23, has been rewarded for his excellent start to the season which has seen him become League One's leading scorer with six goals.
Meanwhile, four other players, all 19, have committed their futures to Leeds.
Midfielders Jonny Howson and Rob Bayly, along with defenders Ben Parker and Scott Gardner, have signed new deals.
Howson has been handed a new three-year contract while the other three have signed two-year deals.
