Five of Wise's 17 players are teenagers |
Leeds boss Dennis Wise could be allowed to bring in three new players before the start of the new season, despite the club facing an uncertain future. The League One side are under a transfer embargo until July since going into administration on 4 May.
But Leeds can bring in three new players because they only have 17 professional players registered.
United have debts of 35m, with HM Revenue & Customs owed 7.7m in unpaid taxes and have been put up for sale.
A deadline for offers has been set of 1700 BST on Monday.
Wise's squad has been decimated by a long list of departures this summer with five of the remaining 17 professionals still teenagers.
But with the League only able to block signings when 20 players are on the books, Wise will be in a position to strengthen his squad.
However, Wise's ability to sign players will depend on the administrators providing the funds to pay wages and bills until the ownership dispute is resolved.
The League confirmed that the embargo it imposed following the move into administration on 4 May is unlikely to be lifted until July.
That would give wise a month to add to his squad ahead of the new season in League One.
