New Leeds signing Alan Wright said he hopes his loan move will lead to a permanent move away from Sheffield United, reports BBC Radio Leeds. The 35-year-old left-back moved from the Premiership newcomers on a one-month loan deal on Tuesday.
"Its been frustrating for me over the last year to 18 months. I think it is time for me to move away from Sheffield," Wright said.
"We will have to see what happens over the next month."
Wright has made two appearances for the Blades so far this season, but admitted he was not sure if he would be playing for Leeds in Saturday's match against Stoke.
"I don't know whether I will be starting the game but if I do I won't be going in cold so fingers crossed I should get through the game," he said.
Meanwhile, Leeds have released Greek trialist Georgios Koltzsos.
He played in Wednesday's reserve game at Barnsley but boss John Carver said he was no better than the players already in the squad.
