Blackwell has seen Leeds struggle so far this season |
Leeds director Peter Lorimer has given his backing to boss Kevin Blackwell. The Yorkshire club have had a poor start to their Championship campaign and lie 22nd after seven games.
When asked by BBC Five Live whether the board was behind the under pressure manager, Lorimer replied: "At this particular time, yes."
He added: "We want what's best for Leeds United football club. That will be for us to climb up the league and have stability at the football club."
Leeds have suffered successive home defeats, 1-0 against Wolverhampton and 3-0 against Sunderland, to increase the pressure on Blackwell.
The team have only enjoyed two wins so far in the league this season, 1-0 at home against Norwich and 1-0 away at Sheffield Wednesday.
