Radebe has been troubled by a knee injury |
Leeds defender Lucas Radebe wants to work as a coach at Elland Road when he retires. Next season is Radebe's testimonial year and beyond that the defender hopes to pursue a career on the other side of the touchline.
"I would love to be involved here - absolutely, completely, I would love it," said Radebe.
"It's like this, since I've started playing football I've played for five teams. I started with an amateur team in Bophutatswana then Bobsol, then ICL Birds and I graduated there, then Kaizer Chiefs and then Leeds.
"It was just one stepping stone every time to move up a level, but if you were to open up my heart you'll see the crests of all those teams and Leeds United is definitely there.
"I am going to do the coaching badge and hopefully with the relationship I have here with some great people at the club, who have made me settled, I will be able to do well.
"It's my second home and it would be nice to settle here and get a job."
Radebe spent much of last year battling back from a serious knee injury.
The South African joined Leeds in 1994 during Howard Wilkinson's reign.
