Mixu Paatelainen seeks Killie cutting edge

Kilmarnock manager Mixu Paatelainen
Paatelainen feels Kilmarnock are lacking a ruthless streak in front of goal

Kilmarnock manager Mixu Paatelainen believes his side lost to Inverness CT because of a lack of a cutting edge.

"I'm disappointed. We played well and had loads of chances first and second half," he said after the 2-1 defeat.

"But at the moment we're not scoring enough goals. We're making stupid mistakes, like the second goal, we gave the ball away and they punished us.

"All credit to them, they got the three points. The players are disappointed but we'll go for it again."

Paatelainen revealed his players were unhappy with the penalty Johnny Hayes scored, awarded when Russell Duncan went down in the box from a Momo Sissoko challenge.

"Our players were upset because they claimed they never touched the player at all and that it was a blatant dive," he said.

"They players thought he should've been booked for diving. I've not seen it yet on DVD.

"But Sissoko goes in a little too fast in that incident anyway. However, if he didn't touch the player then it's very unfortunate to concede a penalty."
