Plaudits but no points for Kilmarnock boss Paatelainen

Kilmarnock manager Mixu Paatelainen lamented "one of those days" after his side saw a lead overturned in the defeat to Hibernian.

David Silva put Killie ahead but two Chris Hogg goals gave Hibs their first win since August.

"It was a decent enough performance but no points," said Paatelainen.

"Hibs lost a manager and, although we had a good performance and plenty chances to score and possibly win the match, it was their day."

Paatelainen, a former Hibs manager, felt there was plenty be pleased with in his team's display but, ultimately, with no more points on the board, it had been a frustrating afternoon.

"We started fantastically well and scored a beautiful goal," said the Fin. "Throughout the 90 minutes we played well, we created chances.

"The goals we conceded, the first one was from a corner kick was just an individual man-marking error and the second one is a freak one. Normally Cammy Bell saves those things but it was one of those ones that went in.

"Sometimes it's rub of the green, sometimes it's the killer touch, sometimes it's a bit of naivety in the defending.

"We didn't score from the chances and the two goals we conceded, we should never concede that kind of goal.

"We'll learn and we'll carry on. We'll pick up plenty of wins this season."
