Kilmarnock manager Mixu Paatelainen was relieved to record his side's first league points this season in a late 1-0 victory away to Aberdeen.
A late strike from Jamie Hamill added to a 6-2 win against Airdrie in the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
"It's been a fantastic week for us. We thoroughly deserved it," Paatelainen told BBC Scotland.
"The boys are jumping, they're so delighted. They work so hard every day in training and they deserved it."
Hamill found the net in injury time with a cool strike after good work by James Dayton in the narrow victory at Pittodrie.
Conor Sammon came close to breaking the stalemate in both halves after Aberdeen's Josh Magennis almost opened the scoring in the opening minutes.
But, while Paatelainen felt Kilmarnock were fortunate with the late strike, he insisted that his players deserved the win.
"Conor Sammon was clean through a couple of times but unfortunately couldn't score," said Paatelainen.
"We passed the ball, as always, and showed some specific movement we wanted to do.

"We showed some fantastic character and to get that late winner was so sweet.
"Aberdeen never cut us open, so I thought 'let's go for it'.
"We always looked dangerous when we got the ball. We passed it well in the midfield area and our build-up play was fantastic.
"We got a little bit lucky, but you create your own luck with positive runs and we scored a fantastic goal."
