Jefferies admits Hibs merited win
Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies
Jefferies has a long injury list to contend with
Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies conceded his side were well beaten by Hibs but was not happy with the first of three penalties awarded to the home team.

"Hibs deserved to win, they were much better than us," he told BBC Sport.

"I had two or three youngsters in there asked to be the finished article and confidence has been dented by the number of injuries we have just now.

"The first penalty decision was a shocker and it came at a bad time since it gave Hibs a two-goal lead."

Jefferies, who revealed that David Fernandez will be missing for six weeks with a knee injury, had no complaints about the other penalties.

And Ryan O'Leary, who played with a broken nose, will be out next week, having been sent off for conceding the last of the spot-kicks.

"I'll just get into trouble if I say what I think," added Jefferies on the subject of the first penalty.

"Only one man in the ground thought it was a penalty. But we all know Stuart (Dougal) and he's always right."
