Jefferies left angry by penalties
Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies
Jefferies said he was stunned by the penalty decisions
Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies said he was stunned by the two penalties awarded against his side in the 3-1 defeat by Rangers at Rugby Park.

"I was angered by both penalties but obviously more with the first one," said Jefferies.

"We tried to keep it tight and they are a difficult team to beat without being given things pretty easily.

"I was stunned when the penalty was given. I didn't see any reaction from the Rangers players to claim for it."

Jefferies said he could not believe referee Dougie McDonald awarded a spot-kick for Simon Ford's challenge on Kris Boyd.

"I don't think anyone could believe it when he pointed to the spot," said the Kilmarnock boss.

"So it was a bit harsh to say the least because it was outside the box for a start and Simon got the ball.

"The second one was an old-fashioned shoulder charge from James Fowler.

"Some are given some are not, it just so happens that it was given."
