Jefferies said he was stunned by the penalty decisions |
Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies said he was stunned by the two penalties awarded against his side in the 3-1 defeat by Rangers at Rugby Park. "I was angered by both penalties but obviously more with the first one," said Jefferies.
"We tried to keep it tight and they are a difficult team to beat without being given things pretty easily.
"I was stunned when the penalty was given. I didn't see any reaction from the Rangers players to claim for it."
Jefferies said he could not believe referee Dougie McDonald awarded a spot-kick for Simon Ford's challenge on Kris Boyd.
"I don't think anyone could believe it when he pointed to the spot," said the Kilmarnock boss.
"So it was a bit harsh to say the least because it was outside the box for a start and Simon got the ball.
"The second one was an old-fashioned shoulder charge from James Fowler.
"Some are given some are not, it just so happens that it was given."
