Killie sign Koudou, monitor Skora
Eric Skora in training with Kilmarnock
Eric Skora will continue to train with Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock have signed former Airdrie United striker Aime Koudou until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old from Ivory Coast recently turned down an extension to his short-term contract with Airdrie United and was a free agent.

"He looks like the kind of player who can do something different," manager Jim Jefferies told BBC Sport.

Jefferies will also be monitoring the fitness of midfielder Eric Skora, who is aiming for a return to the club.

Both men featured in a reserve tie against St Mirren on Tuesday.

Koudou, formerly with Oviedo, Limmassol, Sochaux and Neuchatel Xamax played just five times for Airdrie United.

But he sprung to prominence against Motherwell in the Scottish Cup, tormenting the Scottish Premier League side's defence after coming on as a late substitute.

And he followed that up with two goals against St Johnstone in Division One.

"It was not a huge lay-out for us," added Jefferies. "So it's not a massive gamble. We'll see how he progresses."

Skora is hoping to put a couple of years of injury problems behind him.

The 25-year-old Frenchman impressed on loan from Preston North End in 2004 and signed a permanent deal last January.

But he did not play once for Killie last season and he returned to France for an operation in the summer.

"He's a long way from getting back but we have first hold on him," said Jefferies.

"He took his first steps today but he needs to find his fitness and confidence."
