Leven has been selected by Scotland Under-21s |
Kilmarnock's Peter Leven has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract at Rugby Park. The versatile 21-year-old joined on a short-term deal after being released in the summer by Rangers.
"In the summer a lot of people take a break but I was out running every day," said Leven.
"I came back as fit as I ever had been. I lost a good bit of weight and the gaffer gave me a six-month contract so obviously it has paid off now."
The left-sided player, who can operate in midfield or defence, had spent two years on the sidelines following knee reconstruction surgery.
But his performances this season have been good enough to earn a call up to the Scotland Under-21 squad.
