Second-half goals from Robbie Matthews and Chris McPhee saw Kidderminster ease past Matlock Town in their FA Trophy first round tie.
Harriers had to call up keeper Jasbir Singh as a late replacement for Dean Coleman who fell ill on the team coach.
But they overcame this and other injury and illness issues and striker Robbie Matthews put them ahead on 74 minutes.
Aaron Farrell was then brought down in the area in injury time and it was left to Chris McPhee to convert the penalty.
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"I thought the attitude at the start was fantastic and it set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
"We have been disappointed with ourselves in the last few weeks so I asked for a good start and not to give them any encouragement.
"Because they have been on a good run and they are tough to break down while the pitch was a leveller."
