"It was a fantastic debut for him and it was some header to win the game," said Watkiss on his loan signing.

"He showed some real guts to take it upon himself to step up for the penalty and I'm pleased for him."

He added: "He didn't manage to do so on Friday as he was carrying a bit of a knock so considering all of that it's even more impressive."
