Ipswich Town's Connor Wickham in England Under-21 squad
Wickham starred for England at this year's European U17s Championships
Ipswich Town striker Connor Wickham has been added to England's Under-21 squad for Tuesday's friendly with Germany.
It is the first time the Town youth product, 17, has featured in one of Stuart Pearce's squads.
And defender Darren O'Dea, who has been out since September after undergoing knee surgery, has been called into the Republic of Ireland squad.
Meanwhile Caolan Levery has joined Ipswich team-mate Josh Carson in the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad.
Steve Beaglehole's side are set to face Scotland on Wednesday.
O'Dea, on loan from Celtic, last played for Town in a 1-0 defeat by Reading on 28 September, but will be in Giovanni Trappatoni's party to face Norway on Wednesday.
Wickham, who scored four league goals last season, has yet to find the net in 14 appearances for Roy Keane's side this term.
He notched England's winning goal against Spain in this summer's European Under-17s Championships final and also has Under-19s caps to his name.
