Supple is a graduate of the Ipswich academy

Ipswich have temporarily blocked a loan move from Grimsby for goalkeeper Shane Supple, BBC Suffolk understands.

The 21-year-old was due to join the Mariners in an initial one-month deal, however the club have put the move on hold until a replacement is found.

It is likely to thwart the League Two side's attempts to sign Supple before Saturday's game against Rochdale.

Supple has made just one senior appearance for Ipswich this season, in the Carling Cup in August.
