Garvan has scored five goals for Ipswich this season
Ipswich midfielder Owen Garvan has been shortlisted for the Under 21 Player of the Year at the Football Association of Ireland International Awards.
The 20-year-old has been a regular starter for Don Givens' Republic of Ireland U21s this year and scored in games against Portugal and Lithuania.
Celtic defender Darren O'Dea and Sheffield United midfielder Stephen Quinn have also been nominated.
The ceremony takes place in Saggart on Sunday, 8 February 2009.
The Senior Player of the Year award will be contested by Reading's Kevin Doyle, Shay Given of Newcastle United and Manchester United defender John O'Shea.
