Jeffers has scored one goal for Rovers this season |
Ipswich have signed Blackburn striker Francis Jeffers on a month's loan. Jeffers, 26, started his career at Everton before Arsenal paid out 8m for his services in June 2001.
The striker then left the Gunners to join Charlton in a 2.6m move in 2004 but spent two years at the club before moving to Rovers last July.
"It's a real coup for us to bring Franny to the club. It's an exciting signing for us," Ipswich boss Jim Magilton told the club website.
"He had Premiership pedigree and has played at the very highest level with England.
"He has played for some of the top clubs in the country and has cost over 10m in transfer fees, so that tells you something about the player."
Jeffers has been capped by England once and marked his debut with a goal in a 3-1 defeat by Australia in 2003.
